1948
The first O’Connor’s store was opened by John Sr. and his wife Olga. They named the business “O’Connor’s Garden Shop” and specialized in pest control and gardening. John Sr. was an expert in entomology and was instrumental in forming the Oklahoma Pest Control Association. Olga was an avid gardener and their two interests formed the first shop located in Oklahoma City.
1960
John Jr. joined his parents in the family business. He expanded the garden supplies and horticulture services. He and his wife, Pat, grew the business into a hallmark of the industry.
1980
The 80s brought a new direction to the business. John Jr. and Pat had three boys who introduced outdoor power equipment to the products and services offered at O’Connor’s.
2020
Upon Pat’s retirement Shaun became the President and CEO of the Store. Shaun O’Connor is a third generation business owner of O’Connor’s Lawn and Garden. He and wife Stacy are proud business owners serving Oklahoma with a premiere selection of power equipment and the best customer service.
Throughout the past 70+ years of serving Oklahomans in the lawn and garden industry a lot has changed, but our dedication to low prices and great service remains the same.
